The Sandwich Shak just received the award for the 2008 Local Business Awards North Coast best Fast Food/Takeaway.
Both Mark and myself attended the annual dinner at Coffs Harbour and received the award from the Clarence Valley mayor himself.
While it all seems like a daze now, it was certainly a HUGE professional thrill, and to think that the business is not even 18 months old and we are receiving such recognition.
I actually remember the speech I gave (Mark rarely does speeches) word for word as, like myself from time to time, it was short and sweet. It went something like this:
"Short history....seachange....we bought a rundown ice cream shop....and now we serve the best gourmet sandwiches and coffee in Evans Head. So if you're passing by any time, please feel free to drop in! Thank you"
