$21 Weekly Food Challenge - Day 2
April 27th 2010 03:46
This was the ANZAC day public holiday and there is no rest for wicked journalists so I had to work while hubby stayed at home with the boys.
Like a good money saver I packed my lunch of a sandwich (filling was left over chicken lasagne), a couple of the cheesy vegemite rolls (not just for kids) and the last pear in the fruit bowl.
Hubby said the kids had vegemite and cheese and peanut butter and jam sandwiches for lunch...luckily their favourites.
Hubby finished off the leftover spaghetti bolognese.
We had a visit from the boys little cousin who brought up anzac biscuits for afternoon tea.
For dinner we finally got to eat the spare ribs and fried rice, which hubby actually added some peanut butter to, making it taste a bit like satay. Very yummy.
We had ice cream in the freezer so the kids are well looked after for dessert.
Tomorrow I'm home so I am going to do some baking with what ingredients are in the cupboard. We seem to have a lot of baking items, so I might try getting a little imaginative.
