$21 Weekly Food Challenge - Day 6

The penultimate day of our challenge.
Lunch was leftovers of the poached chicken dish.
Today I had to interview a French couple who run a charming little French restaurant and I was relieved (and a little disappointed) they didn't offer any food..LOL.
They talked about their new menu that included onion soup gratinee, a delicious sounding duck plate and an apparently award winning creme brulee.
So I came home to macaroni cheese and tuna for dinner.
I bought a tin of tuna for $1.90 which brings our spend total up to $12.20. There was enough tuna leftover for sandwiches tomorrow.
The macaroni and cheese was from a couple of packets we'd had in the pantry for some time.
Hubby, God love him, hasn't bought any of his own full cream milk, using my light milk, so that he doesn't spend an extra $3.20, but the way it's going I reckon he could afford it as we have $8.80 in the budget.
Tomorrow I'm cooking our final dish in the challenge and I'm taking it around to our friends to share. Since they started the challenge with us it seems right that we finish it with them from our (much leaner) pantry.
