Favourite Sandwich Fillings

Everyone has some kind of favourite combination of foods that they love to shove between two pieces of bread. We certainly get some interesting ones. The majority of our customers seem to love a meat and salad type variety.
On our menu board we have some set gourmet sandwiches so people don't need to think too hard and they have often become the favourite item. For example our chicken gourmet sandwich which contains...well...chicken, french mustard, camembert cheese, sun-dried tomatoes and lettuce, is probably our highest selling gourmet sandwich.
Sir loves that sandwich too, but instead of french mustard he prefers sweet chilli sauce. Then, when the sandwich is toasted....just ambrosia!! The melding of all those flavours is just divine. I'm getting hungry just writing this!
My favourite mixture used to be a very plain chicken, cheese and tomato on multigrain. Now, with the resources of a gourmet sandwich shop at my disposal, I've grown to love pesto, ham, cucumber, char-grilled eggplant, cheese and onion all on a wrap.
I always find it interesting when people put pineapple on a sandwich, but even moreso when they want it cooked with bacon. Another popular combination.
Regardless of whatever anyone likes, I think we owe alot to the Earl of Sandwich, who suggested one day that someone bring him some meat served between two pieces of bread!
