Take a number please!!

If only people's stomachs didn't get hungry at the same time!
If only our customers could stagger when they were going to get their morning coffee and doughnuts or sandwich for lunch!
When the urge for ice cream or smoothies comes to people's minds, if only it was at well-timed, different moments!
However, that's not the case. The majority of people will come into the shop at morning tea time and then lunchtime. Over a year and a half of being open, we have nearly worked out these patterns, but people can still surprise you.
One Sunday, the junior and I were doing alot of cleaning as it was a very quiet day and in one second, three groups of people came in the door!!! We were working our butts off then!
It's a bit of an adrenalin rush when you are confronted with a number of orders and manage to get them all out in a timely manner and don't get any of the orders wrong! It makes us feel good.
Although there are times when we give a customer a flat white when she ordered a cappuccino or we forgot to get a Monkey Kiss smoothie out.
Now, as Christmas draws nearer the holidaymakers are here and there are no lulls between the rushes. It is a steady supply of hungry, thirsty and hot customers wanting our fare. We are SO not complaining as the sound of the till is always a lovely piece of music. It just means the adrenalin rush lasts all day.
I would like to take the opportunity to wish all orblers and readers of this blog a very Merry Christmas as we celebrate the birth of our saviour, Jesus Christ and a very Happy and Safe New Year!!
