The Sandwich Shak sells a range of gourmet scoop ice creams with most of our customers being either the very young and their parents or the very young at heart. The kids usually favour Crazy Cone or Chocolate while their parents will go for Rum n' Raisin or Honeycomb Crunch.
The older folk, who insist on ice cream in a cone, not a cup, will often get the fruitier flavours or Honeycomb Crunch as well. One memorable couple who came in to order their ice creams simply wanted vanilla. This is pretty unusual as we only really have vanilla ice cream for milkshakes and smoothies...very rarely would someone want plain vanilla when there is such a wide range of other choices.
The couple chatted to us for quite some time as they were very friendly. By the time the gentleman had finished chatting to us, he had finished his ice cream, so insisted that he would have to have another.
" I love to eat a lot of ice cream", he commented.
"You must be a real ice cream connoisseur!" I replied.
"No," he grinned, "just a pig!"
