Our cinnamon doughnuts
Sir will tell anyone, and has, that he conceived the idea of selling doughnuts in our new shop at around 3am one morning when he couldn't sleep. Probably the stress of opening a new store!
The night before our big opening day, we were in the shop trying to work out how to actually make the doughnuts from the prepared mix and water and deep fry in our new little doughnut cooker. Needless to say that doughnuts were on the menu for dinner that night.
Often, just the warming up of the oil starts bringing people into the shop because of the smell. The doughnuts have become one of our biggest drawcards, especially on cold days when a warm snack hits the spot.
