We're 2 years old!
May 21st 2009 07:01
With all the excitement of being promoted and various other happenings in our lives I quite simply forgot to announce our second birthday for The Sandwich Shak.
So, hey, we turned two on the 19th May. We celebrated with free chocolate cake for every coffee sold.
Our little 'toddler' is getting older and thriving. Our sales have improved over time and we have honed our menu to suit our customers. As owners and operators we have learnt and grown through trial and error as well.
We have great staff who we have often entrusted our 'baby' to while we have been away or unable to open for various reasons.
Our local customer base is literally our bread and butter and they have supported us immeasurably. We are very appreciative and hope that in the future we can continue to provide the quality food and coffee that they keep coming back for.
When we've been told that businesses often go under within three years, we feel very blessed that we are 2/3 of the way there without looking like failing.
So, cheers to the next two year. We hope to still be around.
