What is their story?

The majority of our customers are locals and we often get to know people quite well, especially how they have their coffee or what ingredients they like in their salad.
However, we also get many tourists and visitors that pass through our shop and, while you only have contact with them for such a brief period, they will often leave an indelible mark on you which prompts you to ask: What is their story?
One day two ladies walked in to order their lunch. One was older and reasonably dressed, but it was the younger female who really stood out. Firstly, she was not just good-looking, but stunning (glad Sir wasn't working that day) and dressed as if she knew it. She was groomed impeccably and wore very figure-revealing clothes.
When she ordered there was an overt confidence, not so much arrogance, that showed she was used to being listened to. I was having bets with myself she was a young starlet or model of some sort...but would I ever find out?
Another story was with one of our seniors. She had been making our chicken gourmet sandwich for a customer when she noticed that she was very obviously being scrutinised by a couple of gentlemen through the window where they could see her at work. It wasn't her they were staring at so much, but the sandwich.
Finally, they walked in and both ordered the exact same sandwich. They then went out to our al fresco area to eat. After a short time, our senior noticed that they had left. On further inspection she realised that they had both only taken one bite out of their sandwiches. Not wanting the flies to take advantage, she brought the sandwiches back in the shop and left them in the warmer in case they came back. They never did.
We postulated for some time that they may have been judges for the awards we were in the running for. That worried us as we thought they perhaps they didn't like the food...however, we won our award, but who knows!
Another time, just as I was about to sweep the floor and mop before closing, an older gentleman and younger girl entered the shop. She ordered a plate of bacon and eggs and he wanted a BLT (bacon, lettuce and tomato on turkish bread) with a small cappuccino.
It meant that I couldn't get home as soon as I'd hoped but it was a near $20 order and they seemed very pleased that I could do it, so I did.
Again, after only a short time I noticed that they had gone. When I went to check the dishes, thinking they may have just ducked off somewhere, I saw the flies had started attacking so began clearing the table.
While the girl's food had been eaten, the gentleman had literally only taken one small bite of a whole BLT and only a sip of his coffee. Was he sick? Did he have a hangover?
Such are the mysteries of some of our customers.
