While we were away...the hamburger ruled!

Weee-re Ba-ack!
The holiday is over and all we had to do was avoid Cyclone Hamish and a really bad oil slick off the coast of Queensland. Other than that it was a great and relaxing time.
Someone forgot to tell the Japanese that there is a recession though, as most of them seemed to be enjoying the benefits of a Gold Coast holiday too!! I've tried miso soup for breakfast at the buffet but didn't attempt the chicken congee.
Anyway, while we were away our cheeky senior staff decided to have a special at the shop. Since we opened we have never made hamburgers. We do bacon and egg rolls. Even our Baxter burger is bacon and egg with tomato and lettuce.
We never felt the need to do hamburgers, even when hassled by the local real estate agent, because other shops around did them...until we were away. Apparently the girls decided to cook hamburgers and see how they would go. Well, they just walked out the door! We couldn't deny the facts, hamburgers are popular within our little town.
Since we've named the Baxter burger after one of the locals we now have to decide if we will name our hamburger after another local. I think our friendly real estate agent may be first in the queue.
